Chester Kroeger
Chester has had an interest in the island lifestyle since he was a young boy growing up in the Florida Keys.  While he continues to make yearly visits to his birthplace he has traveled extensively across the Caribbean and Central America. His search for "Paradise" came to fruition when he and some close friends from College vacationed in Bocas del Toro back in 2002.  Today, he spends approximately four months per year in Panama while maintaining operations of the highly successful Fudpucker's restaurants in Fort Walton Beach and Destin, Florida.  He is also a principal in several development businesses that have holdings in Florida and a partner in a advertising and marketing company.  He holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in Coastal Zone Management.


His interests are fishing, diving, gardening and reading.  He also thinks he can sing.  He is married to an incredible woman he met on a blind date and they have four incredibly talented children.

Timm Shores
Timm has always had a passion for construction, equally balanced by a love of the outdoors. In the 1980s when his wife’s military career brought Timm to the Destin area, he recognized an opportunity to build the homes the growing Panhandle population would require, even while being in one of the country’s best spots for outdoor sports – particularly fishing.

Timm and his family settled in Destin, where he co-founded BRW Builders of Destin, a custom home-building company. The company profited under Timm’s detailed eye for construction and financial management. With honors such as multiple Parade of Homes winners, Apex Awards and Aurora Awards to its credit, BRW moved from building individual custom homes to developing communities and condominiums. Among award-winning projects the firm has completed were: Avalon Beach Estates, a 129-lot luxury Gulf-front community; Emerald Coast Business Center, a 40,000 square foot commercial center; Fountain Plaza, a 40,000 square foot office condominium complex; and San Remo, a 32-unit luxury Gulf-front condominium.

Always on the lookout for another great place to enjoy the outdoors, Timm discovered Panama. He and his family visited the country for a fishing and snorkeling vacation, and Timm was hooked. He recognized the same opportunity on Panama’s Caribbean Coast that he saw 20 years ago in Destin.

Timm brings his construction knowledge and project management expertise to the Maracuya partnership, as well as his knowledge of finance. Working with Panamanian architectural and engineering firms, Timm is overseeing the realization of the Maracuya lifestyle through use of native materials and design.

Teresa Larson
Teresa has developed a keen eye and an extraordinary sense about resort real estate, particularly beach property. Born and raised in the Florida Panhandle, renowned for its sugar-white beaches, Teresa soon came to recognize that others wanted to live the lifestyle she so enjoyed.

Teresa, a Licensed Florida Real Estate Associate, started with sales and then development along the Northwest Florida beaches she knew best. She was an owner in several resort-related businesses before moving on to develop several coastal communities. She extended her real estate sales career as far as booming Naples, Florida, in early 2000, and currently resides in both Naples and Destin, Florida.

Teresa’s passion for real estate and sense of adventure took her to Panama and Maracuya in hopes of finding an area much like Florida 30 years ago. She was not disappointed. On taking one look at the parcel of land we now call Maracuya, she made an offer the very next day! Her love and enthusiasm for Panama, its beautiful land and its people has only grown in the two years since she first visited.

Teresa graduated from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. Her daughter, who will soon graduate from college herself, shares Teresa’s passion for the relaxed resort lifestyle. She is studying interior design in South Florida, and is also a Licensed
Real Estate Sales Associate.
